The hotel has a pleasant homely feel, and the breakfast was great with a nice selection served directly to the table. However, my room had cleanliness issues, with peeling paint and an uncomfortable atmosphere due to noise from the bar area during the night. It’s a decent choice for a short visit, but there is room for improvement.

convenient access to pubs and parks for city explorers
After a day of cycling with friends, we arrived in Dungarvan and were thrilled to find a cozy atmosphere and friendly reception, which set the tone for a relaxing stay in this central hotel that placed us just a short stroll from popular pubs and beautiful parks.

The breakfast menu included a delicious selection with options like pancakes and eggs benedict that kids enjoyed during their stay.
Bedrooms are outdated with mismatched chairs, peeling paint, and carpets that show extensive wear. Issues like a broken window between the panes and a strange odor in the hallways took away from the experience. Additionally, services such as the lift are inadequate for the number of guests, and noise levels from the bar area disrupted sleep during the night.

The reception area has a nice ambiance, creating a welcoming first impression.
The corridors were narrow with an overwhelming smell of must and smoke, which was quite unpleasant.

I enjoyed the great location and the spacious, recently updated room with a nice view. The staff were pleasant and check-in was a breeze. The fish and chips we had for dinner were well cooked and filling. Plus, having a good reading light in the room was a bonus.

It was just a good pick for a day tour in Dungarvan with very good value for money. The food and service were excellent, especially the breakfast options. Bring your own tea and coffee supplies, as the room had none.

I stayed in a Double Room, and it was spacious with nice decor. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean, which I appreciated. However, I wasn’t thrilled about the lack of a warm welcome at reception. Plus, the room had a couple of maintenance issues, like a TV that didn’t work. It’s a decent spot, but definitely needs some updates.
